About Me

Who?
My name is Lisa Gaumond and this is my website. I love to paint, and draw. I make jewelry, I knit, I write, I take pictures, sometimes I scrapbook them. I love to cook, I attempt to sew, I garden, I read, I ride a motorcycle. I laugh, I play, I love my husband, my family, my dog Molly, and I love to read blogs.
In 1998, I received a BFA in illustration from the Hartford Art School. I worked for a few years illustrating and designing while also working some lousy part-time jobs. Then, a new full-time job, married life, and too many other things came up that I wanted to do more than beg art directors for work. The freelancing sort of dwindled.
Now I work when the mood hits me (or whenever a stray art director calls). I still love illustrating and painting, but I also love to knit and craft and to make stuff with my hands!
What? Where?
That stuff I make is available online in my Etsy shop:
The Artsy Fartsy Shop is the place to find one-of-a-kind handmade beaded jewelry, original paintings, prints, cards, and crafts like handmade bags and purses.
This new, slower pace gives me time to relax and to blog, which I love to do. Please enjoy my website and if you have something nice you’d like to say, please send me an email. If you have something not so nice to say, please keep it to yourself, nobody likes a meanie.
